Good for people that want to protect themselves. The only way to fight it is to educate people how easy it is. Locking your door with a deadbolt is completely useless, I have a dedicated server running ZoneMinder with multiple cameras on motion detection and immediate emails to my Blackberry with images once triggered. Oh... one more thing for you.
If you do go ahead and get a new locking system for your home, make sure it is similar in all facets to your old one. Somewhere in your bylaws there will be a statement saying that all homes must have a level of continuity. If all the other locking systems are silver and you buy a brass one, you can be fined under that section.
