    I'm looking for something similar. I'm trying to convert VGA from my comp to dvi to my tv. Would this work?

    Wrong. These converters are for turning DVI-I on your vid card into analog VGA. You'd need a card that has DVI out to get the digital DVI signal for your TV (and need DVI cable). Your computer must be ancient if it doesn't have a DVI out...
