You'll have no issues in the rear but the front will rub with +38 unless you're running stock tires. I'm running 195-50-16 on 6.5 inch wide rims and I have no rubbing even under extreme driving...but my wheels are +55 offset. I've driven on a +45 for a week with the same tires with no issues at all under hard cornering!

Seb you should post some pics of yours so Riced sees what yours looks like.

I also believe a +38 will want to rub in the tire size you want to choose. I'd go with something around +45 if you want it fairly low and still not rub. The hard part is finding something that will work on that car and is a +45 offset which is fairly rare as everything is around+38 or +40.

I've seen his car on fitfreak, but I've never seen a close up of the wheel set up. I know he has the HFP wheels, but can't see how it fits from pics.

We were thinking of mounting the stock 185 tires on the 16x7 +38 for now until those wear out, but I'm thinking it's going to be a bit of a stretch.. no idea how much of a stretch though.

The set of wheels she wants comes in a +40, which is only a 2mm difference, but I believe that the 2mm difference will help a bit in the rubbing issue.

How do you figure its turbo? You can see the filter right there lol.
Anyways, such a nice ride! I remember seeing the red one around, and seeing pictures of the black one online. Never thought the black one was a Calgary car though.

Next up on my list.... Paint job!

Keep in mind that the k-series are mounted differently froms B's and D's. The intake side is on the front, while the exhaust is on the rear side of the engine.

What you see there is the intake manifold in which the air filter connects to. It could be confusing if you dont know the differences between the two.
