Dash Kit for G35

I want to put a double din dvd deck in my G35 coupe. I cant seem to find a dash kit for it. Anyone know where i can get it? I tried future shop. Visions has one but my dash is silver and they only have black.

the japanese g35 (skyline) actually has a factory double din panel to the best of my knowledge. could u try just getting ur hands on the jdm oem part?

metra makes one.. but it's hella expensive. over $100

would i loose the pocket where the nav/gps should be?

If you have an 03-04 you would not as it is the Jdm double din, search ebay for that, the best seller is riverside infiniti on there. With the jdm though you lose the dual zone climate control, but there are diy's to fix that with the button taken off of your climate control now. Otherwise, for 05+ you would have to use a different doublue din and would not lose the pocket either.

is it just me or do the bottons on the dash kits look cheap. like they are rubber or something. i guess i will come see you and look at the kit and go from there. i dont want it to be to noticable that its not original

Question.

I found some ebay auctions that says their kit will retain the factory AC controls, whereas, some other auctions claim I NEED the AC controller....what's the deal?

The good ones should be plug and play, with the actual jdm one requiring some light modding to replace a button irrc. Some might be requiring you to take the ac controls out of your current centre console and put it into the double din i think.

I just talked to the guy from the auction and he said that their kits come with the AC controller. I'm hesitant because the kit is third party, but it does say they are a distributor for Metra.

If you are hesitant maybe just look for a jdm version on g35driver so that you know it is oem so you know quality and fitiment would be perfect in your car.
