Question Simulated HID 7000K HID Look work for g35

I recently purchased a 2003 Infiniti g35 private sale. When I purchased the car the previous owner informed me that one of the HID Xenon headlights was burnt out and that he had taken it to Hyatt and they charge 370 dollars for a new bulb which he thought was a little excessive. He then told me instead of doing that he just ordered online a new set of bulbs for much cheaper that would be adequate replacements. The bulbs he gave me are HILITE Superwhite Xenon bulbs, but the catch it they say Simulated 7000k HID look meaning that obviously they aren't HID. I am pretty sure the headlights I have are HID because when I turn on the functional one it has that little flickers before it comes on completely. I was just curious that if I had someone put these bulbs I have in first of all would they function? and second of all by putting these in could there possibly be any detrimental damage to the headlight system such as a fried transistor or something?
I called the guys over at Hyatt they didn't have a clue and were obviously inclined for me to go with what they have i'm just looking at my options. It is also very possible that the previous owner purchased the completely wrong bulbs.

Help is much appreciated I'm not very knowledgeable on the subject.

    Basically, you got hosed.

A smart buyer would've made the seller replace the bulb with an OEM or suitable replacement before taking possession of the car. A stand up seller would've replaced it instead of cheaping out. He obviously took advantage of you.

Anyway, your H1 will not work. First off, it's a halogen. Second, you try pumping 25,000 volts through it and who knows what will happen.. That's if you can even get it into the harness in the first place.

You need a 4300k D2R HID capsule (I am pretty sure but don't quote me). Jump onto eBay and buy yourself a Phillips or Hella replacement. Instructions here:

Looks like the right ones.. It has the D2R strip on it. You might also want to switch them out in pairs if you're not satisfied with the color matching, since the bulb in the working headlight has probably color shifted (will likely have a more bluish or purplish cast) and also lost a bit of intensity. Or go with a slightly higher temp (like 6000k).

    http://www.modifiedlife.com/2003-inf...lb-size-chart/

from what i read here it looks like the headlight bulb size is HID-D2R
so I assume that all D2R sized bulbs I search on ebay will work?
Also from past experience is 8000K very blue?
