Exclamation Where can I get mini battlefield models?

Me and a few buddies have to make a mini model of Juno Beach on D-day in WWII for a project.

But I'm not sure where I can get materials or an actual kit for cheap?
I was thinking maybe Micheals or PM Hobby shop but they charge quit abit for all the different materials. (moss, soldiers, tanks, gravel, sand, barbed wire, pillboxes etc.)

Anyways, if you guys know any shops or places that sell these sort of things for a decent price then let me know!

And if you know any websites that teach how to build models then that would help me as well.

    Thanks alot!

Trains & Such in the NW (4th St and 25th(ish)) has all kinds of landscape modeling stuff. Probably have period vehicles as well. You'd need to stop by the shop because their website blows.

haha, I actually just found some!
My little brothers had a huge box full of them with tanks and other stuff.

All we need now are some ships.
