Beyond CSi will become ineffective if it becomes overwhelmed with many scams.
The reason why claw, and hit n run where so popular is because it was spontaneous and it became viral so quick... As soon as it got cross forumed it reached such a large base of people. Give it time.
These news scams not so much. But Jeremy Mani is getting fucked up.

*sigh* I think I too have been caught in a web of lies - involving a long-time Beyond member. At least I have legal recourse.

God I hope that guy who scammed that dude out of 1G for the TV has what is coming to him. I just spoke to someone who knows him, and it definitely sounds like he didn't deserve this.

On my own front, tonight I visited the home of the individual I mentioned in my last post. Being a friend of mine, a business partner, a fellow Beyonder, and a family man, I would certainly rather not take the actions I have been contemplating unless I have to. If nothing else, I hope my conversation with him tonight properly conveyed my position.
He's been a good guy in the past and he deserves a last chance - even if this situation has been mounting for literally a year now. As such, I'm taking a "wait and see" approach for the next few days to see what happens. As epic of a thread as it could be, I'm very hopeful our situation has just been an unfortunate and frustrating series of events. Stay tuned.

I feel for ya. When deals with long time "friends" go sour I think it is tougher than when it is a stranger.
If its someone you can negotiate with use that tactic first.
Taking legal action is expensive and may not always get you the result you want.
Sometimes it might help to get a legal opinion if you know someone who is a lawyer.

R154: I'd really rather not for reasons already explained. I'm going to give him until the end of the weekend to start making things right. If not, then rest assured that you'll see a thread on here.. just as a start to my "campaign". I'm pretty well versed on how to use the 'net to my advantage if need be; it's what I do for a living.
Will_e_chill: Thanks for the offer. I've already been in touch with a lawyer. She says that my first step would be to get the police involved, with court only necessary depending on how it would play out. On both accounts, I have a lot of evidence collected to work in my favor...
He insists he's being honest about everything... and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for both our sakes. Guess we'll find out this weekend.
