He's concentrating on the roadcar division. Without a roadcar division to keep the company afloat, McLaren will always be FIA's bitch. F1 brings in 85% of their revenue.
Uncle Ron hasn't done much at the races except for doing interviews, watching the races. It's been Whitmarsh's team since March.

I thought he stepped down during the offseason. He hasn't been on pit lane all year and hasn't been in McLaren garb when interviewed this year.
