-my showers are 2-5 mins long.
-there is enough food for only me, so know one else can ask or like what i have.
-if my gf wants to eat out, shes paying...becuse i dont wanna go out...

Self-Control? That's an amazing GF (Maybe has self-steem issues?) That stays with a guy who is so cheap that he makes her pay every time when they go out to eat.

Are you sure Enmax didn't under-estimate your previous usage and have now tacked on the extra portion onto your current month's bill?

If not, do you have A/C? Anyone using electric heater in garage?
Don't forget about the delivery charge, really it should be less than 2875kwh in that case.

Definitely post up the usage numbers and whether the last month was ESTIMATED or not.

3000sq ft house with A/C and electric heating in the tile floors. I am not an energy saver by any means. I leave lights on all the time.

    Direct Energy $110.00 - $145.00
    Enmax $150.00 - $230.00

Last month our easymax bill was $300.
My wife leaves the lights on everywhere, we have a 58" plasma and a 42" plasma that are on pretty much from 5-9 every night, laptop and my wife takes long ass showers.
Our house is the same size, 1400sq ft.

In the summer our bill is like $130-140 tops.

OMG, anyone else have a huge spike last this month's bill (June)?
We just got our bill and its totalled at 800
This is the break down compared from May's bill to June's bill
electricity went from 1671 kWh to 1458kWh (which is ok)
Natural gas went from 19.103 GJ to 53.4999 GJ
    Water went from 1.0 m3 to 169 m3
Something is totally wrong, any help on tracking the problem?
Its a 2000sqrt home, nothing new added to the house since may. With enmax btw.

Well I don't know then. Was your last gas bill estimated and they are making up for a wrong estimate on your actuals for this bill? Doesn't explain the water though, could be a fault with your meter.

Only way of knowing is giving them a call.

Now that you mention it my bill this month was almost double...maybe I should take a better look at my bill instead of just paying it and trashing them.

230 for electricity? That sounds steep.

I live in a townhouse with 1 other individual. He runs my plasma nearly every night for several hours. I run my computer nearly every night for several hours, along with the monitor. I make heavy use of electric fans during this heat. The only saving grace to the whole house is that nearly every bulb is one of those compact flourecents, and me and my roommate only use the stove perhaps every other day at the most.

With all this said, I pay about $50/month for the electric bill.

My bill this month for electricity was around 160 and direct energy was about 150.

1700 sq ft 2 adults 2 kids full time and a dayhome in our house during the week.

I also never turn my computer off, the washer and dryer run on a daily basis and the wife and kids usually leave as many lights on as they can regardless of if they are in that room or not.

Dishwasher and stove are also used everyday.

You bills sounds high unless you are running a crapload of electronics all day everyday.
