if you guys are listening to stereo, playing video games, watching tv, leaving windows open, partying, etc. then i don't think your bills are out of line.

$380 for gas and electricity for a 1400 sqft home?

Are you in a locked in rate?

Do all your homies have a plasma TV each?

Sounds high. But check your other fees like waste and water, they may have went up, and that damn blue cart program.

Sounds perfectly reasonable, considering I bet you and tony play video games, and he has a 60 something inch tv. Turn your computers off at night instead of keeping them on standby.
Your bills are right on par with what they should be.

Are they? I live in an 1800 sq home.. My average gas/elect/water bill comes in at $230 total .. mind you, I make sure all the lights are off when we are not home.. Lights in rooms that arn't being used are off and thermostat sets heat down during the day and late evenings...

Also look on top of your bill to see the number of days they actually billed you for.. it changes now and then.. last month I was surprised to get hit with a large bill of over $500 total.. then I noticed they billed me for 60 days rather than the usual 29-30 days.. don't know why they neglected to send me a bill the previous month, they typically estimate usuage if they can't get to the meter and stll send out a bill.. but for some reason they just didn't bother sending one...

In a 790sq.ft. house we are paying ~$240 for both gas and electric, and I have 2 heavy-power-using computers that are on 24/7 and I game a lot (360/PS3 with 42" LCD + stereo receiver).

I miss the days of living in Vernon, $75/month for electric in the winter (electric heat, no gas) $50/month during the summer with the A/C on a lot.

Really? My girlfriend and I live in a 780sqft condo. I have 3 Laptops, a PC, a 46" LCD, and a SW fish tank running a 250w MH light. I think we pay like 90$ a month for electricity.

How old are your appliances? Fridge/Stove/Washer/Drier can all suck up a ton of power too. What about lighting? Do you leave them on all day or are you pretty good about shutting them off?
