What a life.
That is actually so sick, I'm envious.
I suppose this kind of related.....next summer when I'm in Europe I want to catch at least a couple soccer games. Can you buy tickets there or only months before hand?
Ultracrepidarian
For the world cup I don't think you can. However they are releasing more tickets from May-November. Then December to January. Then February to April.
Needless to say I did have a buddy who went to the last Euro cup and he was able to get tickets from a scalper.
What a life.
Awesome! So is game 30 the finals?
No. Its still in the group matches. A few days before top 16.
What a life.

What a life.
I saw three games in 2002, it is well worth whatever you need to pay. No regrets.
Have you ever noticed that anybody driving slower than you is an idiot, and anyone going faster than you is a maniac?

wow lucky man!
depends..I believe in summer most clubs are on break, there are usually some small tournaments and friendlies so best bet is to check the team you want to see and see what their schedule is like.Originally posted by msommers

Thats awesome, I'll probably do a trip down there too. It's just a matter of getting tickets.
You lucky SOB!!!!!!!!!!!
So jealous.
Only two countries in the world don't appreciate football. Sadly I live in one of them -_-
Arsenal (London-based club) has a couple great summer exhibition games each August against top-teams; last summer's Emirates Cup they played both Juventus and Real Madrid. They also had an Amsterdam Tournament which included matches vs Ajax and Sevilla. Should see if they're doing anything like that again. Emirates is probably one of the best football venues in England.I suppose this kind of related.....next summer when I'm in Europe I want to catch at least a couple soccer games. Yeah it really is, I wish soccer was big here. I love going down to The Ship and Anchor to watch world cup, especially to yell at those damn Italians at Sals.Originally posted by Rocky

Soccer is hella bigger in Toronto (and Ontario in general) than in Calgary (and in Alberta). A LOT of people here play it, and its pretty popular, a lot of people follow it!
Soccer is big here though because:
- Toronto has a MLS team (Toronto FC)
- Lots of green open fields here, unlike Calgary
- Way more people, more organized leagues
- More Italians and Europeans who follow and appreciate soccer.
Destroying anti-US trolls and idiots like broken_legs since 2009.

I've heard that the Toronto FC supporters are pretty fanatical...next time I'm there I'll try to take in a game!
yup for WC in Toronto when teams win you see people driving about with flags of the countries beeping their horns n shit.
Most clubs (well in England) have loads of friendlys, even with some of the bigger club as mentioned above.Originally posted by msommers

Tickets aren’t that hard to get and best of all they are open to the general public (usually during the actual season games are only available to members).
If you do let me know!! I will be there on my honeymoon as well. Shes more the soccer fan then I am.Originally posted by /////AMG
