I actually have very high hopes for this car. The original gullwing is a spectacular looking vehicle.

Nevertheless, the original Gullwing is such a pretty car and hopefully, the tradition lives on.
I thought the SL65 AMG Black Series was replacing the SLR?
Im looking forward to this. IMO the SLR should have never sported the MB name.. didnt suit MB or Mclaren.

I either read it somewhere or heard it in a video a little while back. Guess that person was wrong.
This car will kick an SLR's ass and cost hundreds of thousands less. Its also almost 1000 pounds lighter too...
Any questions ?
This car could be incredibly sick.
I heard on this forum that the SL65 Black was the replacement for the SLR too...

That is diffinately a crowd pleaser but the SLR is just straight sick.
I heard that as well.Originally posted by LongCity

I heard this SLS or what ever Mercedes will call it is going to be sort of like a more hard core car then the SLR was.

There is a full pic of it in the June issue of Automobile magazine, very unique, but im not quite sold on the overall look yet.

Why? It handled and performed like a McLaren, and was comfortable like a Mercedes. It's the ultimate GT.Originally posted by Redlyne_mr2
