Flames need to get rid of the sutters for sure. Try and get stevie Y for gm. They also need to get rid of garbage like conroy and others that do nothing. Sign nystrom again and get a center that can fukin play with iggy.

When I moved here, the Flames were a pretty lousy team. Interesting how 10 years later they are back to being a lousy team again.

Like i said earlier in the thread. If we HAD to catch any team it would be the AVS.

We're not officially out of the playoffs yet since the Avs lost tonight. Who knows maybe the Avs will lose 4 in a row and flames win a bunch. lol

The schedule Avs have is pretty similar to ours for the games remaining. They play San Jose two more times, Chicago, Vancouver, LA, Edmonton and Anahiem.
I will lose hope when we're mathematically eliminated. lol

Kotalik 1 goal in 18 games since joining flames and -2, also $3 million salary
Sarich $3.7mil
Staios $2.2mil
Stajan $3.5mil...
You get the idea, all of these guys have atleast two more years to go on the Flames, all of which are on a decline each year (Stajan can be debated, but honestly hes not going to get a whole lot better) and take up a large % of Salary cap + they don't make anything happen on the ice.
Unless we get a GM that can dump some of this garbage, we are not going anywhere beyond the first round of playoffs for atleast the next 3 years.

The AV's have the Sharks tonight. If they loose and Calgary win that will be 4 points. The AV's and the Flames will play each other one more time. So still a chance, BUT a LONG shot with the way flames been playing lately.
