    Default Weight Lifting Standards

Came across this site but not sure how accurate these numbers are but for fun, what performance standard are you?

    http://www.exrx.net/Testing/WeightLi...Standards.html

    The five exercises:

    Press
    Bench Press
    Squat
    Deadlift
    Clean

    The five levels:

    Un-trained
    Novice
    Intermediate
    Advanced
    Elite

I'm working my way towards novice on everything. Haven't tried the power clean yet but it looks like an awesome exercise.

    Novice Bench, Noob squat

I weigh 215, and started working out in September. I was benching 90 lbs at the time

Now I'm same weight and max bench is 190.

I started squatting 2 weeks ago, started at 110, I'm up to 140, liking the results so far!

Advanced in all the lifts except for clean.

Don't train the clean to be honest. But I think this might be one of the most technically difficult lifts.

Agreed :S I suck at making gains quickly for some exercises especially the bench press however I can dip/chin up like a champ. I donno maybe it is just me but at 6'4" I have a hell of a time making fast progress at the bench press.

are you a 97 lb female?

    lol, just kidding

sucks that us lightweight folk have to bench twice our body weight and the overweight bastards don't

but i think if you are 300lbs and 290 of that is lard 100lb bench should be elite
