It seems as though both coaches let the players make the calls, except subbing pitchers. Gibbons pissed off price and dikey by subbing price in that one game. I hope anthoplolis comes back but he has to sign a good ace (price would be nice). There is a good list of who's a free agent for the jays on tsn.

AA gone, Gibby most likely gone as well.

Gibby I don't care about but saying fuck you to AA for trading prospects after getting the team to 2 games away from the world series? herp fucking derp.

    Toronto gon' Toronto

The problem is that Norris was a grade A prospect. Essentially the move was a failure unless they either a) won the world series or b) got close (as they did) and price signs to stay

Shapiro wants final say on personnel transactions, so did AA.

That's tough. I thought AA did a great job. The Jays were right there with KC but couldn't get the job done. Next year will be interesting.

Well and there you go, price is officially gone and off the market. And even better... to a Jays divisional opponent

Considering two of the league's biggest habitual spenders are in the Jays' division, that was likely going to be the case anyways.

I knew Price was gone the minute they signed J.A Happ.

I should have learned to throw a ball harder as a kid ... $31mil/ year is insane.

Yah no way were the blue jays going to get anywhere near that kind of money. It sounds like most teams didn't even want to touch $27/year for price because of his playoff inconsistencies.

Greinke is probably laughing because if I had to choose between him and price I'd be going with ZG. He'll probably get a very similar contract if not a tiny bump.
Cueto is probably thinking he will pocket $25 a season now too. Insane

And yah I'm aware the Jays div has two of the big spenders, but I was really hoping price would go NL so it wouldn't be as tough . Red Sox sure dishing out a lot of dough, getting Chris Young too which to me doesn't make a ton of sense given the outfield they have, but oh well

Red Sox pitching sucks, or at least it did. Pitching wins baseball games.

Boston has an ace finally. Something they so lacked last year when no one on their staff could figure out how to pitch. The rest of the rotation for them is still a mess. They have 2 extremely over rated players that were a disaster last year. I'm not worried about them. I still think the jays are the team to beat in the al and have a great chance of winning the division. The lineup is exactly the same as last year, and if they can add one more starter and a relieve pitcher or 2, there is no reason they can't be a World Series contender in 2016.

The crazy thing is 30/5 for price isn't crazy. But holy shit it's impossible to keep up with a team that spent what they did last year and again this year. Deep down I hope the Jay's get lincecum on a 1 year show me deal and he's lights out plus another for sure starter and bullpen depth.

I believe they will win the AL east again this year, them bats gotta heat up and they need to stop striking out so much if they wanna make it further. GO JAYS GO

Watching to see how Liriano pitches, now that he's back with Martin.

Don't want them to shut down Sanchez either. Leave him in the starting rotation. He's pitching a beauty of a year.

    Go blue jays!

Sick game boys only cuz the ending was epic.

Liriano has been really good since coming over.

What do you think? Can the Jays beat the Rangers again?
