Yea, they have been tearing it up. Watch all the games I can. Disappointed about the loss tonight. Why no Downs in the 9th?
Also, that steal was either last year or the year before, as they haven't even played the Yanks yet this year.
wow that was pretty sneaky
my fault, you are right.Originally posted by chathamf

Your take on Halladay, can he continue to tear it up?

Of course Halladay can continue to tear it up, he's been proving all his career that he's a perennial Cy Young candidate.Originally posted by 911fever

No signs of slowing down for that guy, he's their bread and butter.
He is their bread and butter, but what happens when his contract comes up? I still feel Halladay should have won the Cy Young last year over.
The Jays are still finding ways to win, doesn't matter that they haven't played the Yankees yet this year. They are underperforming and I would like nothing more than to see them miss the playoffs again.
I actually feel that he's been playing bad for Halladay so far this year, so I figure he'll not only keep tearing it up, but get better as the season goes on.Originally posted by 911fever

Yea, I understood that, but I was surprised Cito didn't ask Downs how he felt about it and let him make the decision. Downs would have without a doubt said throw me in there and got the save.Originally posted by malcolmk14

Doc won't slow down as he hasn't almost all his career, only thing that has is injuries in the past.
But honestly I really hope he gets dealt to a legit world series competing team when his contract nears it's end next year as he really deserves a world series for how hard he plays and it's clear ownership (Rogers), management (fucking J.P.), and the team (lack of talent) doesn't have what it takes to go to the world series in Toronto.
Swept.

the 3rd is supposed to be in the bullpen but helping out.
Jays are still first anyways but dont use this series to judge anything.
man what a spot that'd be, 15 mins from the Skydome? shit, lucky.Originally posted by mac_82
The only game I have been to this year was their first home loss against Detroit. Skydome is only a 15 min walk from my place, so I will be hitting up some more games once it gets nice out and the roof opens up.
I will probably try to see Boston at the end of May, TBay at the end of June, and the Yanks in August.

Well yeah, it's a 3-game series in a 162-game season. I'm just happy about the wins because now the Jays are only 1/2 game ahead.Originally posted by 5hift

Plus Daisuke's coming back against the Mets

Doc on the DL. now Downs on the DL after hurting his toe running the bases.
Fuck NL rules.
If they want interleague baseball, the AL teams should be allowed to play with the rules they always use. If the National league teams still want to have 8 hitters and a bunter, let 'em.
1-27 after 8 innings when losing
just fkin terrible
Figured I would bump this thread from last year with baseball season firing up once again.
I don't have high hopes for the Jays this year, but am enjoying watching the youngsters out there giving it their best.
We have started out the season 4-1 and on top of the east, shall enjoy it while it lasts!
Anyone else out there following these guys?
