Looks like that's what I'll be doing. Going to book tonight when I get home. Going to see if I can get out and do the Exotic Driving Experience and a few other things perhaps. Shooting for a Monday to Friday trip.Originally posted by kaput
Why not go solo?

Anybody know when a credit is issued?Originally posted by jdmsource
overcharged as in the checkout price for like $250 and the CC was charged like $500
Did you get over charged aswell? I think they said it could be anywhere from 2 days to right up to departure dateOriginally posted by Impreza

Apparently what's going to happen is, there will be two separate transactions on your card.
Transaction #1) The charge from the airline.
Transaction #2) The credit from Expedia.
The airline one is likely to come through first. The Expedia credit is coming, but may take a little longer. There are actually people who have already received the credit, and are still waiting for the airline charge (so they have a negative balance). Amex cards seem to have been the fastest at applying the credit.
Bottom line, this will probably freak a few people out, seeing the higher charge come through first, and not seeing the credit yet. But fear not, it will be coming soon.
I used to have a travel thread on Beyond. I used to be somebody.

fml how did I miss this?
I read in the paper today saying that it was an error and expedia lost thousands of dollar from last weeks deal. Some people found really good deals that some people got paid to go on vacation. WTF!!! And they say it was an error. Crazy I hope it wasent an error
Whether it was an error or a shrewd marketing campaign from Expedia, it doesn't matter. They're honoring the bookings, people are already receiving their credits and taking their ridiculously cheap trips.Originally posted by banned3x

Thousands of dollars would be quite the understatement. Hell, the trips I booked for myself and friends alone would have cost them more than that.

I have Dec 11th to Jan 8th off along with a free flight to/from Europe (probably AMS, LHR or FRA). Any ideas of somewhere warm to visit? Kinda thinking of making my way down through Spain to the Canary islands...
I believe Greece is the warmest European country on average. Particularly the southeastern islands, Crete, etc. Looks like the average high is 16C in January.Originally posted by Grogador

The Canary's are further south though and their average high in January is around 21C.

Both places look expensive and will probably be overrun by European tourists over the holidays... Kinda thinking Australia/NZ/Asia now
Hey, I am looking at trying to get a round trip flight to france from calgary in the new year. What kind of deal can you usually acheive for this type of flight? Where should I look.

Also you could try and find one of those airtransat flights for ~$600 RT to London, then fly cheap (check e-dreams.com) from London to France.
any deals on flights to Melbourne, Australia? I'm looking to go at the end of January and looking to come back around the last week of February.
so far, ive found the cheapest ticket around 1800+tax (calgary>LA>Melbourne)
Hey my parents are thinking about taking a trip to florida for a week around jan 8. Any deals that you are aware of? Thanks for the help!
Hey guys, I am looking for an all inclusive or just regular trip to somewhere hot for spring break this year. I'm hoping for leaving on the 21st (after the heritage classic :P) and going away for 5-7 days.
Any suggestions when to start looking for a deal? I've always been a fan of finding good trips but I'm a noob to anywhere outside north america. I know wednesdays are the best days but should I be looking now or wait a couple weeks prior to departure?
Btw I am on a student budget so looking around the 1000 and below.
Thanks in advance!
GO FLAMES GO!
Are there good deals to Cuba right now?
