Still looking for Nov 26-Dec 3rd to Vegas Return.. havent found fuck all
Prices have gone up a bit. They were looking at leaving on Nov 17 but none are available now.Originally posted by DJ_NAV
^Can you provide me some info with that $700 westjet package??? I'm looking for something like that.
Go to westjet.ca, vacation packages, riveria maya, departing nov 18 and refine to 5 star, all-inclusive. It's $669 + $84 tax now. You do get a suite instead of a regular room however.

Just look on westjetvacations.com
Grand Riviera Princess is showing for $760

Seems to be in the top 30% of resorts in that area.
The Gran Porto Real seems to be a better resort, but it's just a 'room' unless you want to upgrade to the suite for another 80 bucks per person.

I used to have a travel thread on Beyond. I used to be somebody.
Just keep checking westjet vacations, seems lately when I've been checking they have "limited sale" like 5 packages available (2 people per package) for ~$600 w/tax all-inclusive to Mexico.Originally posted by DJ_NAV

**Edit: if I wasn't clear first posting - "limited sale" as in only 5 people can book the package at that price, then it's gone.
Ex:
- On Monday, saw Puerto Vallarta $473 + $119 tax = $592 (NOT all-in)
- On Tuesday, saw Cancun $579 + $89 tax = $668 (all-in)
*These were leaving mid-November at the time.
*And found under the "deals" on the main page from YYC, or they could also be searched with the applicable dates and found that way.

was wondering when is the best time to look for deals to fly to europe? either london, paris, madrid is fine with us.
we are planning to go mid july next year, should we look for deals now or later on?
Likely won't be any deals for mid july until at least spring of 2010.was wondering when is the best time to look for deals to fly to europe? either london, paris, madrid is fine with us.

And even then, if you're looking for mid-July to Europe, you'll be hard pressed to find too much of a deal, that's pretty much as peak as it gets for travel to Europe.

Thinking of going to the East coast mexico - cancun/mayan riveria/playa del carmen... Dates are pretty flexible but I want to be back around or before the 17-18 of Nov. I was thinking of utilizing the Nov. 11 holiday for my trip so only 4 days will be needed off. If you guys see anything let me know. I will consider anything above 3 stars.
I just found a flight for the end of november for $360 return, do you think i should take it or wait for a better deal?
the dates aren't that flexible because its my birthday
We want to go the 26th- December 3rd

Pretty decent, for Cancun/Mazatlan - I would say similar to our middle of Summer here in Calgary.Originally posted by JordanAndrew

Ave high is usually ~28 and lows ~19-20 range. Temp stays pretty much constant for much of the day.
Not much rain, I went last year late Dec/Jan - and it was sunny the whole time except one day (Cabo) and ~26.
Better than Calgary for sure!
*I'll post if I find anything better too, I've seen one week all-inclusive for Nov/Dec @ $650-700 ALL in w/taxes too.

They only had 3 seats left on the flight.
One way was $118.99 The other was $129.99
Leave November 24th come back December 3rd.
When i went to book, it wouldnt accept 3 different credit cards.
I called into westjet and they said, they don't know why it didn't work, and that they can't book over the phone because the best deal they had was around $450 All in on the same flight I was trying to book on.
I gave it a couple hours and tried again on another computer and luckily it worked.
I guess i just got lucky with playing around with dates.
Not that great of a deal considering last year i only paid $240 return to go to Vegas, but i'll take it!
Does it work out cheaper this way or if you book it with a hotel?Originally posted by SScott

I remember seeing Vegas deals for just about $500 for 3 nights all in. Where will you be staying if you go to vegas? How much will it cost?
a $500 deal is normally staying at Circus Circus and we plan on staying at the Wynn or Encore.
Thing is that we are only going to be in Vegas for 5 days and the rest in LA. Which also makes it complicated to book with westjet vacations. I tried to see for 5 days what it would cost at the Wynn and it was like $1100 each or something which is not a good deal.
I'm actually going to change our flight so that we fly out of LAX home, so we dont have to drive back to Vegas to get a flight. Turns out that it will be about $60 cheaper each too which is a plus
Sweet
Ended up only paying $330 each all in and leaving from LAX a day earlier, which is better because 9 days was a bit long!
Check out Westjet..just booked a 4 day trip to LA from Dec 14-18 for $286 (ALL taxes in).
Not bad for LA but FML..no Lakers, Kings or even Clippers games during that time..that sucks
