    Question Should i buy in USD right now?

    im heading down to the state in 3 weeks.....dunno if its a good time to buy in USD now or wait til the last min.....u guys or gals noe anything about the exchange rate please help!!!

    I would say that now is a pretty good time, I don't expect any huge changes in the Erate over the next three weeks. If you can ask for a better rate the bank when you go, some places will give you a prefered rate if you ask. I used to work at a bank and had the authority to do so. Unless you exchanges 1,000s of dollars one point isnt going to make that much difference.

    It's a good time, but you need a lot of $$ to make some money. Bank transaction fees are expensive, so if you can find someone who can do the conversion without the fees you will make some serious cash, that is, if you have enough to invest.

    what eva. ya, know is a good time. 75.5 is a good price on the us dollar. i payed 64.XX for mine right before i went to peru, i came back and the fucking dollar was up to 72. I got shafted a little, but in the end i doenst matter that much, unless you buying millions as an investment.

    What's the preferred rate???

    Do banks charge fees based on the amount? Or just a flat fee?

    ummmmmmmm....thanx guys....im buying around $2000 USD....sooo with the rate at 75.5....that would set me back $2500 Canadian right?

    oh yah ....wat about credit card?....isit better to use Canadian credit card in the state than bringing cash?
