    Default Precision Alignment and Brakes

I just wanted to give a shout out to Precision Alignment and Brakes.

If you have a lowered car, track car, etc, these are the guys to call.

Its not too often i can walk away from a shop feeling like i didn't get screwed, so i thought it would be appropriate to let everyone know what great service and work these guys do.

For pricing, aligments start from $75 and up. Mine cost $98 after taxes.

He spent a little over an hour on mine, and after some consultation with me and a few test drives, he got it to exactly to the specs i wanted it at.

I had my alignment done there a week ago and, while it wasn't expensive and the alignment was good, the experience wasn't perfect.

I was a little upset by the fact that the tech didn't know how the height adjustment on my coilovers worked and, instead of asking me, decided to use all the force in the world to move my locking ring. He then called me in to tell me that somebody had sawed off the head to the locking screw on the locking ring and that the ring wasn't moving. Yes, that would've been the manufacturer's doing, in order to prevent movement of the ring. The alignment hadn't been done yet and I didn't want to piss off/embarrass the guy so I just said "Oh, well don't bother with the rest then, just do the alignment".

By moving the locking ring he voided the lifetime warranty on that coilover as well. I guess if it ever needs a rebuild I'll be sending the bill to Precision. But Carol and Melanie were extremely polite and, again, the alignment was great so I would still recommend them.

Went in there a year ago...thinkin alignment was gonna be 80 tops!

Scratched my front valance, the tech saw that i was watching him through the window and didnt apologize or anything!

In the end i was charged $100. They wont ever be seeing me again!
