BAPTIST school student denied prom because he went to a public school dance and..."danced and held hands with his girlfriend."

Each student pledges to abide by the code that prohibits dancing, rock music, hand-holding and kissing... "Should Christians place themselves at an event where young ladies will have low-cut dresses and be dancing in them?"

When will these Christians come out of their ignorance and try to be a part of normal society...or go back to where they came from? Stupid immigrants

Why do people think their views are the only ones that count? If you read the Bible, there are many things that people are supposedly forbidden to do and that has been around far longer than society's current views. So actually we're the ones doing it backwards.......or with common sense, whichever you prefer.

The greatest problem with religion are the fundamentalist. Taking the the interpretation of every word in the sacred texts as literal truth is what creates the divide and in this case...its news-worthy.

The reason why Christians have such a bad image is because of the fundamentalists. The vast majority of Christians are not young earth creationists, not all never touch alcohol or don't listen to rock music, its just the fundamentalists that take the Bible literally that make the news. It sells newspapers, normal people that just happen to also be Christians don't.
