Hehehe, and you can launch water ballons across the neighborhood.

They even sell those in Calgary?? I just go to SAIT's gym. $80 for 32 entries. They don't have much equipment like the U, but there's way less people.

Just use real weights, get a membership at the gym (U of C, YMCA, whatever) they got all the equipment you need, plus room to run, swim, climb, whatever. PLUS there are hot chicks to look at.

Sure bowflex is exercise and it's better than NOTHING, almost anything is better than sitting on your butt, but athletes and powerlifters laugh their a$$ off at this thing ("It's a bunch of lousy fishing rods"-Ricky Dale Crain).

Haha, you'd be better off lifting boulders and cinder blocks. Besides, its not worth the money to buy equipment. It'll start to collect dust really quickly.

    Lammer, where you located??

Lammer, you better off using free wieghts. I think there's a store near Chuck-e-Cheeses that sells used gym equitment. Get a decent bench(a bench that your able to do wide grip benchpress) and some small bars to put wieghts on. Do some research on the net, for most of the workouts that's all you need. The only downside is that you don't have partner to workout with.

I don't even use my gym membership anymore...I wish I could sell that. But yeah, we've got a treadmill at home that nobody uses anymore. The whole working out at hime thing wear off quickly.

That's right, usually if you work out at home, there is little/no motivation in the environment, no stronger/bigger guys, no cute chicks to motivate you to get better.

Way I figure it is if you work out at home, there are too many distractions/alternatives to working out, you can watch TV, surf the net (like right now, ha ha), talk on the phone, etc.

When you're at the gym _typically_ you can focus on doing one thing only and that is what everyone else is doing, which is working out.
It's kind of like studying, at home too many distractions, but at the library, you can focus 99% on studying.

Most of those home exercise machines are for the stay-at-home type who use it a few times and a few weeks later they're hanging laundry off of it.
