Compaq nc6000-won't connect to wireless

I have been having a lot of problems with this laptop. I have installed a fresh copy of window's xp pro onto this system and seem to have all working drivers in order. In device manager there is nothing with a yellow explanation mark.

Everything was working great until i tried connection to my wireless network at home. I have the blue connection light on and when i try to connect ill get this error message " Windows is unable to connect to the selected network. The network may no longer be in range. Please refresh the list of available networks, and try to connect again". When i try to connect to any other connections around me it gives me the same error.

The network adapter in device manager says its working fine. It has the HP WLAN 802.11 a/b W500 driver on it.


Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Got it. Finally!!!!Was a driver after all
