    Default Radiator fans staying on!

So for the last while the radiator fans on my car have been running for some time after I turn my car off. They run for a while, maybe 10 or 15 minutes after the car is driven. The odd thing about it is that they turn off when you start the car again or put the key in the run position.

Any ideas why this would be happening? It never used to happen but now it happens all the time.

mine does that also, itll turn on if the engine gets too hot, OR what happens with mine is it turns on whenever i have AC on,
try turning AC off if u have it on and you shouldnt have any problems, it hasnt happened to me much since ive kept it off, on and off it happens when the motor gets a little too hot tho.

It happens even with the A/C off.

It usually happens as Shlade said, when the motor gets too hot.

I assume you've checked your coolant levels. After shutting the car off, the coolant isn't circulating anymore so there's nothing to cool the engine, and if it's too hot, the fans will keep going to try and drop the temp. A hot engine turned off with no coolant and no fans will just sit there and actually increase in temp for awhile because of the lack of any type of cooling. The hot air is trapped and the engine bay temp will continue to rise for awhile.

If your coolant levels are fine, you might want to try a flush anyway because it's probably old fluid, and if it persists, you can start looking into things like a faulty engine temperature sensor.
