Default Need to get windshield replaced... where to go to get a quality install done?

Looking to get an oem replacement windshield put in that doesn't leak and is sealed properly. Don't want to deal with any shit that leaks or is wavey glass from china.

Any good recomendations? Don't really care if they're the cheapest, just looking for quality work.

    Thanks!

I have had terrible experiences at Crystal Glass in Bowness, and Speedy Glass in Crowfoot. Speedy refused to warranty a windshield that was leaking!

However, I went to a speedy glass down south, around macleod and was very pleased with the service. The guy patched up the seal around the windshield and it was prime ever since. Dude wouldn't even take my money! Highly recommended.

Right Here, Right Now Glass. 403-669-4760. Ask for Gio. I am very impressed with his attention to detail and quality of work.

Dealer.... OEM-E which is what all these glass places sell is usually crap. Get actual OEM glass from the manufacture of your car which is only available from the dealer or parts distributer. There is a big difference in glass even from the same manufacture, for example OEM glass made by PPG is a lot different from OEM-E PPG glass, most likely the OEM-E won't be 100% optically correct. I'm going through the same process and although the dealer is 300 dollars more it is a lot less hassle than having to deal with the OEM-E crap.

Some glass places may be able to get actual OEM glass but they will charge you just as much if not more than the dealer.

I had mine replaced w/ OEM at King's Glass near Varsity Chrysler. It was a little more but well worth it!!
DO NOT go to Crystal Glass in Bowness.

I had a buddy who got a windshield put in, it leaked, they tried to fix it, it leaked, then they reinstalled it. Doesn't leak, looks like hell though, with lots of urethane globs and old bits of moulding. The glass itself doesn't hold up to rock chips like the OEM windshield did.

Cal-Alta got black glue all over my seat and carpet. After a second trip back, I noticed the damage to my front bumper

On a winter beater, I'd go with the cheapest alternative. But for a nice car I would opt for OEM. There's a reason why it's more expensive.

I made some phone calls today for my TJ...Windsheild Surgeons are $175 installed, and Cal-Alta Auto glass is $195. I asked if they would match the Surgeons as they are closer to where I work, but they say they use cheaper "different" glass. Is there a big difference?

theres a difference in between in windshields

theres this cheapo china stuff, PPG, and OEM.

    i believe theres only 3,

for aftermarket PPG is the best.

When i got my windshield replaced at windshield surgeons they gave me PPG glass.

just call them and ask what kind of glass they use
