What psi does the engine require (stock form) from the fuel pump. 6psi, 7, 23? i have no idea. If you also have no idea but have a manual you could check, that would be helpful too. Thanks
I know, not a hard question, just technical.

If I'm not mistaken, the KA24DE runs on 5 psi (same as the 4cyl trucks). Which is why everyone swaps it out for the 300zx's which runs at 12 psi and also runs alot more. KA24E which was 1990 and prior may be different, as well. Hope this helps... why do u wanna know?

43 psi is the stock fuel pressure for SR's and RWD KA's.
well im swapping a DOHC KA into my datsun 510 over winter. I have the engine, ecu, tranny and most of the harness, but no fuel delivery. i want to make sure i sort everything out before i get started. But it appears i have some conflicting numbers. This is out of a 91 240sx if that changes anything. so can we get a consensus? I need a fuel pump.
Boy was I off! 510 with a KA huh... that sounds like fun good luck with it, wish I could do that.Originally posted by Hollywood

You can use a walbro 255 L/hr fuel pump for 240's w/KA or SR. But a datsun will be different, but not sure if it's swapable. If you can use the 300zx pump then u can use the walbro.
well any pump of the right pressure should do, and perferably with the idle cut at 35 psi. Im either gonna find an inline pump with that pressure or use a intank one from a 300zx or 240sx.
damn, I just threw out a working 240sx fuel pump
Bought not built!
When/If you install a non stock intank pump make sure the pump filter is close to the same shape as well size as your current datsun filter.Originally posted by hjr

Hollywood is correct about fuel pressure regulator setting. It will never need to be higher in a n/a application.

I might have one (from a 89 240sx). I scrapped one about 2 years ago, in my driveway <-- INSERT GHETTO COMMENT HERE
