    Default QE2 Closure/re-routing?

I heard some second hand information about a cran smoking an over pass possibly just North of Airdrie. Wondering how bad it is as I have to go up to Edmonton today and will look at other routes if it's bad.

heard it on the radio at lunch. I think it was the southbound lanes that were blocked completely, but I could be wrong.

Pretty bad damage, sounds like its the northbound lanes as the traffic backed up all the way to Red Deer from the Balzac overpass.

    My bad... I meant Airdrie

Southbound lanes completely closed south of Highway 566.

Traffic is backed up in both directions (Southbound traffic rerouted onto Highway 566) and Northbound traffic is probably slow as they aren't letting traffic cross the bridge.

You're backwards. Balzac backing up to Airdrie would have to be the southbound lanes. Northbound lanes would back up from Balzac into Calgary. Although at this point it's only semantics, because I'm sure both ways are screwed.
