    Default avg price for Calgary->Toronto

I am planning to book a trip to Toronto around the beginning of September. Including the 10% off promo for Westjet, the one-way price is $215 before taxes etc.

I think I should book now, while there are still favorable time options. The price seems pretty good.

Just looking for a quick response on whether you guys think $215 is an average/good price for that time of the year, or should I wait?

I have gone mid-week for as low as $130 one way before tax (Nov).

I booked some flights in March for this summer (June) that are $150 before tax during a seat sale.

And during holidays (Dec) it is usually $250-350 one way.

$215 is a pretty decent price.

One thing I also did was I booked one trip way in advance, and during a seat sale I got a price that was about $100 cheaper, so I paid the penalty (about $50 I think), and was able to still save $50.

i'm going to book it and keep an eye out. September is still a few months away so anything can happen to the prices until then

if you still haven't .. i'd say wait!!

if you keep looking ... you'll easily land 130 - 180 one way before taxes.

I go to Toronto often and they will always have seat sales from time to time.

Are those just to sell off the remaining seats on red-eye flights etc. ?

As of right now, the departure time options are very good, I just dont want to be tempted by a seat sale and only have the options super early/late connecting flights

    K - I'll wait...thanks for the input.

The travel dates are relatively flexible, so hopefully I benefit from waiting on the right prices. $215 isn't too shabby if I had to fly on a specific date - and for people who are wondering why I'm mulling over a ~$60 dollar difference, its because I'm paying for my girlfriend's round trip ticket as well.

I was looking to book for the vacation last week out to TO in August this summer, last Thursday westjet was only $1750 all charges/taxes in roundtrip for 4 people! (So ~$437/pp/roundtrip).

Now it's $2750 for the same thing... (~$688/pp/roundtrip)...

    Should have booked fuck

relax guys .. the sales will be back ... last year I was flying the whole family to Toronto for the wedding and I followed it closely. By all means this year could be different but with the 'recession', I would think there will be more sales. Sales come and go .. I understand WestJet has a sale every quarter .. it's usually 50% off sale every quarter. Keep your eyes peeled .. when its around 130 - 180 range .. go for it.

'The Travel Lady' has come up with some really sweet vacation packages so I am seeing traveling cost drop ... at least a tad.
