I play with the calgary sports club and the intermediate division is probably as competitve as it gets, some players are quite strong here, both guys and girls.

Out of curiousity, are you and your friends girls? Are you good? Reason I ask is because a lot of girls I know that are good, really don't want to play coed so it's tough to find strong female players.

No clue bro. I was at the game and he just took a decently hard shot (he used to play div 1 mens) but there was nobody in front of him.... and he scored. Then the entire other teams bench was screaming shit at him and stuff, so he decided to sit himself for the rest of the game just to avoid a massive argument. Then, after the game the other team was like wanting to fight him and shit and he just said "I BENCHED MYSELF... WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT?"

so allegedly the ref filed a report and when he was suspended the league said he needs to take it easy... its just rec soccer.

So ya.... i guess if the other team thinks its too hard thats all that matters. It is a very poorly run league, they just take ref's from the regular competitive games and throw them into coed, half of them don't know what coed is or any of the rules of it. And if you take up any concers with the league coordinators all they say is "its just coed, its supposed to be fun". Gah. I would go with sport and social club, at least there you know what you are getting into... no refs, so it is clearly just some fun soccer. This league cant seem to decide if its competitive or fun.
