    Default Saddleridge or Coventry Hills?

I see Coventry as a nicer area and the resale value is much better but since I work in the northeast, my quality of life would be better living in Saddleridge. Any advice? The houses are pretty similar but the drive from Coventry would be killer twice a day I think.

Personally I would rather deal with the drive from Country hills than living in Saddlehood.

People that think Saddleridge is such a horrible area of the city make me laugh.

Saddleridge, if its closer for work. Access and traffic from anywhere central north is the fuckin worst. Have you ever tried to go up country hills blvd when there is snow? Faaaccckk.

Besides, you buy lower, you sell lower, or you pay more and sell for more.

Coventry Hills is far more accessible from the main arteries than Saddle Ridge is at the moment... that will change once the ring road is in place in the NE.

I would personally pick Coventry simply because I prefer it's location and it's proximity to amenities... but to each their own.

Actually, I would rather live in Panorama Hills over Coventry... but you specified just two communities, so Coventry is my choice.

coventry hill will have a higher value and better investment for yourself.

you might also want to look at the future development near by the two area as well, such as the airport expansion

Personally, I just don't want to live in the NE anymore. I'm building in Kincora, even though the NE would have been closer to my work.

But that's just me; I don't like living in the hood....

Saddleridge seems like a pretty nice area, how close is it to any actual hood?

Falconridge is quite close and I would consider that to be the hood.

I would pick Conventry because having a NW address is going to be a better investment than having a NE address. The drive form Conventry to Saddleridge shouldn't be too bad. Shouldn't take yuo more than 15 or 20 minutes in rush hour.

Sorry, my bad. I was thinking of Country Hills. you are right, Coventry does have a NE address. A few real estate agents told me that buying west of Deerfoot is better than buying east of Deerfoot. In terms of investment.

If you really are having a hard time, kets spend a few afternoons and weekends in each of the areas; watch the community activity. Go for an extended tour and rubber neck.

there are people that prefer and want to live in each community for their own personal reasons. Resale value in each is subjective to how well you care for your home/property/neighbourhood and how desireable your house would be to future potential buyers.

    access to main roads
    future c-train development
    religious buildings
    better shopping
    developed and future schools.
    developed and future park areas

Airport has no bearing as i think both are an equal distance away from it.
I personaly would choose coventry as i would prefer a more central location.

Go sit in a fast food restaraunt or 7-11 in each neighbourhood and see where you feel that you fit in best. Buy in that one.

Coventry. It has an NE address, but it's not "NE". It's west of deerfoot. "NE" is north of glenmore, east of deerfoot.

It's the first neighborhood coming in on deerfoot, and deerfoot goes to your doorstep. Way better access. Saddleridge is like the hood's light at the end of the tunnel. There is a reason why Coventry costs more.

have you considered building a new house in Skyview Ranch? Prices are really decent for a new house and you are way north of the hood
