You may want to post a thread in the market places saying "LF" or "WTB" in the Misc section unless it fits in another subsection.

any hardware store, just use black gas pipe. have the end threaded if it's not already.
You don't wanna race me.... you've seen taillights like mine a thousand times!!!!

Do you know where to get gas pipes?
princess auto... calgary fasteners, house of fools (if they're still in buisness), crappy tire (aka newfy speed shop), pretty sure even wally world has em...
house of tools is definitely still open, and still the best tool shop in the city. but yea, those clamps are really only used for woodworking, so you won't find them at wla-mart, or the big box home improvement stores. i doubt can tire has then also. lee valley has them for sure, though (see link above). lee valley is an awesome store. i got my swiss-made guillotine Felco pruners there ($80 for a hand pruner to cut branches, hahah). but you get what you pay for!
Go to Busy Bee, cheapest place you'll find for those clamps. I've got about 20 of them in various lengths (along with about 80 others) that I use for my woodworking.
Is that what you are wanting them for??
Are ya sure? BC stores were sold out to another owner in april... Alberta stores except calgary north & edmonton south common were closed up a month ago, websites been down since tuesday; and I didn't get an answer yesterday when I called them (one of my prefered vendors even after the industrial division closed).Originally posted by nonlinear

OH really? i didn't know that. i live by the heritage and macleod location and drive by their sign every day, so just assumed they were still open. that really sucks, cause that was an awesome tool store.Originally posted by AndyL

Stopped by today to confirm - the 32nd ave location now has signs saying "closed until further notice" - looks like another victim of the credit crunch.
Sucks, because some of their staff were really good...
Thank you Ill stop by there for sure.Originally posted by project240

and yes I'm using them for gluing a bunch of wood together for wooden doors.
Yeah I was there a couple of weeks ago and the store was pretty empty, and one of the employees told me that they aren't even getting anymore product in anymore.Originally posted by nonlinear

Was a good store for sure
okay so I checked out Busy Bee and they didn't have anything long enough.
I need the clamp to be at least 6ft long.
I looked at some gas pipes to use but they dont seem as thick as steel pipes.
Anyone have any idea where to get just the round steel pipes? I know where to get the clamp ends.
Just call a plumber and tell them what you want. They'll thread one for you. And gas pipe will not bend unless you're using something other than human force to close that thing.
