When it comes to your turn; tell them the clear and consise actions of what you did... not how the guy is a prick or how you think he intentionally pulled up close.

    As an example, something along these lines;

-I parked my car on the street
-I left that evening, nothing seemed out of the ordinary and I was totally unaware that I may have hit anything

(using the word may in the above point will give you credibility, being to strongly worded that you did not hit the car could bite you if infact the guy has a good video... this part of the law is all about intent, not about what actually happened)

-I found a note on the car the next day
-I tried to talk with the owner about the details, we did not come to an agreement on what happened.
-I concluded that he parked unreasonably close and I accept that I may have bumped his truck unknowingly as a result as my car is a manual and has a tendency to roll back about 25mm.
-Although a possibility, I do not believe my car caused the damage shown (present reasons; inconsistant damage, a roll back would not cause that kind of damage, location of damage... ect)

Don't offer negitive any opinions of the guy in court, don't volunteer information or tell them you think he was doing something intentionally; always accept that the damage could have been caused by the car, but that you strongly believe it was not.
Jesus don't listen to this guy...

challenge him to a cage match. Winner takes all. Loser pays for the bumper.

j/k that sucks man. I'd be down to box him in in front of his house and video tape him bumping into me trying to get out. I've got a ding on my rear bumper anyways. Just le me know!

Very good. Make sure the date is also posted, and present them to his lawyer. It might be your ticket to getting out of this headache.

Clear, precise statements. Very good advice. Maintain your composure when you rely this information and good luck.

Scat19... if you would like a sample of the bumper material to experiment with, I have some parts from mine in the garage. My Truck hit a ice/snow bank back in dec./jan. and it didn't scratch, just shatter.

hmm... this looks like one of those stories that illustrate the difference between a legal system, and a justice system.

    Good luck, scat19.

The damage done to his bumper just doesn't look like it was done by your car if there are no major scratches on your bumper. Definitely looks like he hit a concrete wall or something.

I'm going to REMOVE my rub strip, take Ashers (pm ya dude), and rub them together with light, moderate, extreme force.

I will document, in a video, as well as pictures, etc.

Ashers, what beer do you drink?

Wow, this is such BS. I'd be livid.

Something else you can try is to prove the damage was there before the date of incident. Canvas the area for witnesses (neighbours who walk their dogs by his truck) and see if any of them can recall damage being their previously or not.

I ain't no CSI, but I repair bumper scuffs ALL DAY, EVERYDAY.

Those pictures definitely show that the ACCUSER had hit something, and that was most definitely not your car.

At the speed you were going, and the plastic the bumper is made of (re: truck bumper) and your bumper/molding, there is no way it would leave that kind of "teeth" like damage on his bumper!?

Ur bumper is smooth plastic with no jagged edges to be able to bite into plastic like that. EVEN if you bumped him, it would just leave a UNIFORM rub mark that would be almost completely vertical. Not gouged on a diagonal like shown in the pictures...

Good luck! I hope you nail this Asshole...
