Default Sick and tired of the company sites that ask 58358 questions

...when applying for a job. A few questions is fine, but 20, 30, 3, 4, perhaps even 5 pages of questions is just ridiculous. Anyone else sick and tired of applying for a job, hit the company site and they ask for all this shit thats already on your resume? Its like uhh hello, thats what my resume is for. Dont blame me if im not willing to waste 15mins out of my day to apply to a single company. Ridiculous if you ask me!

They do that mainly so it's in their format and they can search and filter out candidates. It's understandable why they do that but I agree that it's a hassle to fill it out.

In high school I had to do a 15-20 page aptitude/intelligence/ethics test at RONA... to collect carts from the parking lot haha

I had three job interviews in this past week. And two the week before, and essentially got the varitable 'pick of the litter' to choose from. Accepted an offer a couple days ago.

So please, do keep crying about how hard employers are making it to apply. It'll allow those of us who actually give a damn enough to apply ourselves to obtaining employment a better selection.

At risk of sounding like a dick (Laf!), I think this little employment correction was a good thing. The self-entitlement some people have after getting paid $60k a year to do data entry was wearing a litle thin. Now with oil going back up and our economy recovering, things will get back to normal.

happened to me too, as if someone with even the rarest slightest lapse in mental capacity couldn't collect carts and stack wood

Damn, you beat me to it!

Seriously though, that thing is like 100 pages long, at least- not to mention the fact that the application process takes at least 3 months..including the two interviews with the recruiter and the panel...then they ask you all those questions from the application again at the polygraph!

So yeah, suck it up, or save the job for those that actually give a damn about getting it.

The Safeway and Co-op applications are 2 pages and you don't even need a resume!
