    Default Burma Road speed limit??

i was driving to my house today and saw that someone has uncovered a couple of the covered up signs posting 50km/h on a road that is 80km/h. i saw the signs saying they were changing the speed on Burma, but from 80 to 50km/h on a fucking country road???? there isn't a house within 30 metres of that road!!!! WHAT THE FUCKKKK

m10: yeah its the section west of bearspaw road. they have been fucking with speed limits since i moved out here. Rocky ridge road (after you go through the four-way at the top of the hill) was 70 they changed it to 60 for awhile and last year made it 70 again

If a road like the one badatusrnames posted existed in Alberta, I'd be there all the time.

The roads up to Norquay and Fortress are both a little like that. Great places to blow off a little steam.

Yeah I only knew about the famous Burma Road that played a pivotal part role in SE Asia during WWII:

Didn't realize we had one in Calgary...

I don't have to drive Burma west of bearspaw, but I did notice the signs about the speed change. The rocky ridge road uses to be an 80 zone then they paved it smooth and dropped it to 60(now 70)...road was horrible when it was an 80. Makes sense...

Now if only they would ban the 'tour de france' poser bikers from these roads...
