Default Computer Doesn't Connect to TV with HDMI Cable

I have two tvs. One is a sharp Aquos and the other is a Panasonic Viera. When i plug the computer with hdmi cable into the sharp aquos it works perfectly fine, but when i change it to the Panasonic Viera nothing appears on screen. the model of the viera is TC-P42C1 i believe. I fooled around with all of my settings and it still doesn't work. Since i know its not the cable or video card, could there be something wrong with my tv? Both HDMI slots on my tv work for either a pvr, ps3 or an xbox360 so i know for a fact its not the ports on my television. any advice?

What resolution did you set to output at? I see the Panasonic TV only does 720p.

I'm thinking you are set to 1080p which works for your Aquos but not your Viera.
