I think roughly 40% of pokerstars players are from the US but a majority of they are solid because online Poker is illegal in the USA right now and the recreational players do not deposit money on stars..
Upside = Less good players for Canadians
Downside = Less players and less games on online poker sites
I think if the US players take 20-40% max of the online poker population it wont be bad, but anymore and it might be getting very tough 2 make out a living from it..

I worked in a casino for a few years; lots of stories. Most I ever paid out as a dealer was $4600 in Three Card Poker.

To be honest, I'd rather dedicate a life to poker and make money by playing poker then working downtown. Unfortunately, I suck at poker so that isn't an option. A lot of people I know make quite a living off poker earnings while going to school or working downtown.
