    Default Rx306 FC Build up.

I figured I mine as well post the project or about half of it, (that's how far I've gotten) DETAILS: This is the plan/most of the parts I already have.

    1986 FC rx7
302 SBF over sized pistons to be become a 306.
Edelbrock aluminum cylinder heads and complete valve train.
    Edelbrock intake
    Edelbrock 750 carb (still need)
    Mallory Distrubitor
MSD 6al (rev limiter yay) (still need)
    Accel super coil
    E303 Cam
    Equal length headers.
It's going to run a turbo 2 RX diff good for 500rwhp, and a Mustang t5 tranny and clutch setup.
Turbo 2 Big brakes already on the car

The plan is around 350rwhp and over 400ft/lbs at the wheels in a 2500-2600lbs car. That's without nitrous, I want to push around 500rwhp on a 150-200 shot of nitrous if I get bored. The aluminum heads alone saved me over 100lbs in weight. I bought the car for $400 bucks, and got the swap kit for 500 bucks locally. The motor has 0 kms on it and I'll have to suffer through ring break in.

Pics are uploading on photobucket at the moment.

It's getting a proper paint job, though it looks like somebody already has spray bombed it.

    UPDATE!!!

Got some more of the motor stuff figured out, and a ridiculous 800 bucks later, I have a solid hydrolic clutch setup (YAY NO cable style clutch for meee)

A few things on the motor still need to be painted and bolted up, but I put most of everything together and checked for clearance issues and not a single problem except my front sway bar will be touching my oil pan.

Not a big deal, I just have to relocate it a inch forward, I'm amazed at how well and snug everything fits!

    Pics:

This isn't done yet, gauges are mounted but the GPS will lay in the metal more when I get my backing plate made up,

Out with the old master cylinder in with the new!

"Custom" T5 tranny fork to work with the new slave cylinder.

Engine is all done, the car just needs some pre-swap things done to it, but should be done soon!

ahhhh piston engines in rx7's hehehe. I just love hating those...As much as I do love hating them though, it must be fin having that kind of power with a big engine in the rx7 though hehe.

Big but lighter then the rotary that was in there! The entire top end of that motor is aluminum and titanium (valves, springs ect.) Plus the amount of stuff I took out for the rotary to run was insane! Two coil packs, a huge oil cooler, accessory's everywhere for that tiny engine to even run. Should be the same if not a little less then the motor that was in it. (With no power steering or AC anymore) should be fun with 400ft/lbs in a 2600lbs car.

It's called like VHT Night Shade, I got it from auto value. To get your lights to look new like that I recommend sanding them like i did. With 1000-2000 grit wet and dry.

Nothing wrong with that, I like the look of flat black that car looks mean plus you have more $ to spend on going fast!
    Cool build.
A Ferrari is a high maintenance chick, you spend money regardless of what you do with her. You can baby the C63, or slap on all seasons, and you won't be spending anything but yearly maintenance. Of course that's like dating a stripper and refusing to fuck her, which would make you gay.
