Canada Line in Vancouver Opens

So yesterday the Canada Line expansion of the Skytrain opened up and as a promotion everyone was invited to ride it free of charge.

The line ups were so crazy people had to wait 2-3 hours just to get onto the train at all the stations. So... why did so many people waste so much time to ride a train?

Its the same reason why many people hear free food will wait in line for an hour. Its as if they have never eaten or seen food before.

That would explain the facebook status post from someone I know about having a headache after waiting for the Canada line. I had no idea what she was talking about. Now it all makes sense (and the fact that it was free and she is a stereotypical Chinese person living in Vancouver). Ha ha ha!

If she wasn't Chinese she probably would have gotten a headache from the Chinese people talking at 120 dB into their cell phones or to each other.

See with the Yogen Fruz, at least you get something. With the train ride, you get to go somewhere you probably didn't need to go to.

You can tell how many ppl in Vancouver/Richmond doesn't have to work..

I took it last night on my way back from LA.

25 min, $2.50, drops me off 3 blocks from home. WAY better than $40 for a cab or having someone come get me...especially during rush hour.
