I saw this advert when I was watching Quantum Leap.

Makes some pretty good points from what I saw and i will check it out just so I can argue on here.

I'm really looking forward to the new lunar imager they just sent up. Nasa said they will image the moon landing sites and hopefully put to rest all the bullshit... sad that one of man's greatest triumphs has been cast into doubt by a shitty "documentary" on shitty Fox network.

    It won't.
Conspiracy theorists like the moon landing deniers, 9/11 truthers, "chemtrail" proponents, etc. fail the "reasonable evidence" test.
No amount of reasonable evidence could convince them they're wrong.
You can show them all the pictures, videos, and analysis in the world, and all it does is to make the conspiracy larger.
Because they're so devoted to their conspiracy theories, they simply attribute any evidence that refutes it as being part of the conspiracy.
"They" must have doctored the photos, "they" faked the video, "they're" not releasing the "real" reports, etc etc etc. Any evidence against the conspiracy turns into evidence FOR the conspiracy because, it's obviously a forgery or a red herring...
They're too invested to let something as trivial as actual evidence get in the way. The truth just isn't romantic enough, and every event has to have a Coen Brothers-like plot. Nothing, for these people, can be what it seems. Their existence is an affront to Occam's Razor and common sense.

Mostly not bad, or stupid, people. Just misguided. After all, we ALL buy into some amount of bullshit of one form or another.
Once again, if no reasonable evidence could be provided to change your opinion on a subject, you really should reevaluate that belief.

The bigger question is wtf have we been doing since the moon landing?

If we don't get off this rock and establish ourselves on another planet, moon, station within the next 100-150 years we and all our stupid gods are going to vanish from this universe.

Environment is a danger, but its the crackpots like Kim Il Jong that are the main threats.

He can hit Hawaii today - what kind of tech is going to be available in 50 years to other lunies of his ilk? Bio, Chem or bigger nukes?

The most compelling evidence I've heard is that we have been pinging lasers off of mirrors left on the moon for about 40 years now (distance measurements), and those mirrors wouldn't be there if someone didn't put them there. I agree there are some interesting arguements against the landing as well, but none of it really stands up.

I wish they would privatize space travel and flight.. Could you imagine if companies could invest in space missions for profitable reasons.. Maybe we could find new metals , or chemicals or hell i dont know , something cool lol... Hell i love space pictures , but they spend billions on just looking and taking pictures...

How far do you think they can realistically go? Taking pictures is the best they can do at this point (or any point)

edit: Also, new metals? Unless you mean new alloys or something, that's also not feasible.
