ive had a tornado a few blocks away from my house in sask before.. its VERY scary and its also VERY cool.. kind of mixed emotions with a tornado, but they cause alot of damage and can kill many people.. one of the grain elevators in our town, the roof was found about 3/4 mile away..a friends trampoline was stuck in a huge patch of pine trees at the top.. they had to cut down the trees to remove it.. was insane damage for a quick tornado and it was only a F3

Ah, it's more hype than anything, it's far too cold outside for a tornado to touch down around here.

We'll just get another downpour with some thunder & lightning... that'll be the extent of it.

I've been here 10 years... have seen a handful of tornado watches come and go over the years, with nothing significant coming out of them.

Now... if I was living in central Alberta... I would be a little more cautious... that's where they actually touch down, and frequently.

I was in Edmonton in 1987 when we were hit by a tornado and it was a very scary situation! I was only 18 and it scared the hell out of me and my family. I would not wish that kind of terror on anyone.

i was born the day of black friday in edmonton in 1987...my dad was telling me there was hail the size of golf balls or bigger
You can technically get a ticket for each window that's illegally tinted. So as above, if you're being an ass to the officer (or if he's just an ass to begin with), he can give you two. (or three tickets if you're dumb enough to tint the windshield of your BMW... but if you own a BMW you can't be stupid right?)

In Canada there are on average 2 deaths due to tornados each year.

Even in the US the number is usually under 100 per year and in a county that see 50 times more tornadoes and a good portion of the population doesnt live in houses with basements.

Not sure what people are so worried about. I still would love to live through one.

You have to experience it to understand. I think the scariest thing about it is you have no ability to control the situation

Do we really control that much in terms of life? There are always things that come up that we have no control over.

We could be driving down Macleod and get hit by someone running a red and die without fair warning. The only difference with a tornado is that you probably see it coming and think about mortality while the tornado is imminent.

It isn't until you surrender control of your destiny that you are truly free.

Hence the reason. If I am going to live through a natural disaster... I want it to be a tornado.

And I believe the US gets the most out of any country in the world, something like 4x as much as the next highest. Whatever. No one here is worried... I think everyone are more like "cool". I know that was my first reaction.
You have a couple of photos that are great... you must be very good at photoshop!
