    Default Goldendoodle Puppy

My fiance and are are looking for a Goldendoodle puppy that will be available the last week of August or later. We want a male that is golden, tan, or apricot in colour. If anyone knows of any breeders or people who will have puppies available within two hours of lethbridge please let me know! I am already checking Kijiji.

Yeah they can get up to 78 pounds but by my research they seem pretty cool.

    They are extremely overpriced mutts/mongrels.

If you're going to get a crossbred dog -- why not rescue one from the SPCA?!?!?!?

we got a mini golden doodle from ooodleofdoodles.com
i agree that they are expensive, but i have no problem paying money for a good dog that was pretty much house broken when we got her. wouldn't have done anything different. if we get a second dog we may look at the spca

i have a labradoodle.. very curious and friendly dog!

i hear the same with goldendoodles
You can technically get a ticket for each window that's illegally tinted. So as above, if you're being an ass to the officer (or if he's just an ass to begin with), he can give you two. (or three tickets if you're dumb enough to tint the windshield of your BMW... but if you own a BMW you can't be stupid right?)

I am also keeping my eye out at shelters. I have just been doing a lot of research on differen't breeds and this one appeals to me. Also, when you mix purbread dogs you don't get as many health problems.

So having a super intelligent dog like a poodle bred with a super loyal dog like the golden retriever is a mutt/mongrel?

My puppy is almost 9 months old and she's the best $800 i've ever spent. The SPCA is a good option for some people but it's up to you. I can give you the information of the breeder i purchased my pup from; she gives you a health guarantee and will provide information from both parents. She's knows her stuff.

Hypoallergenic, Loyal, Intelligent, Friendly, Playful, Energetic... who wouldn't want their dog to have all of these traits?

Agreed my labradoodle is awesome. Truly loyal, loving great with kids and lots of fun. If I do get another dog it will be from the spca but for my first I wanted a pup..

My parents have a yellow labradoodle. He is just over a year old and he is HUGE! Nice dog though, he's kind of a big baby. Train them well from day one. He looks like the pictures above, but way bigger. These are big dogs.

My sister in law's family breeds labradoodles in Mountain View. PM me if you'd like the contact info.

Actually from what I understand, Labradoodle is now an official breed, according to the breeders I know in Southern Alberta. They have passed the necessary 6 controlled generations or something like that...not sure of the details.

    Wrong and Wrong.
By mixing two purebred dogs together you are not reducing the number of health problems but actually increasing them-take for example if you were to cross a Border Collie with a Bull Mastiff-Collies are notorius for eye problems while Bull Mastiffs have heart problems. Now you have created a dog with two potential health issues instead of just one (this is just an example, but you are introducing new problems to the breed that were not there before).

Also Labradoodles/Goldendoodles are not a "recognized breed" by any legitimate kennel club. Goldendoodles are recognized as a breed by the organization/kennel club they made up themselves(probably the same with Labradoodles), but you will not find any "doodles" recognized by the American or Canadian or even the United Kennel Club. In order to become a recognized breed you must have kept stud/predigree books for many many years, you have to be able to breed the dogs to one another and have a consistent and predictable result for many many generations to come and must have an established parent club, as well new breeds must be voted on by members of the kennel club for acceptance. I still see many "doodles" that either look more like a poodle, a retriever, or a mop so think they are a long ways off. Don't let anyone tell you they are an actua breed as they are not.

There was so much misinformation on here

Also these dogs ARE NOT hypoallergenic. First off no dog is truly hypoallergenic, however, breeds such as the poodle are close to it as they dont shed like most dogs, and have less dander.

Mixing with a heavy shedding breed such as a golden will give you an unpredicable mix somewhere in between, that will shed less than most dogs, but is not hypoallergenic.

All purebred dogs were mutts at some point of time. In a number of years i'm sure they will be there own breed.
