Default BBQ - Natural Gas Conversion Kit

Does anyone know where I can get a natural gas conversion kit for my Proprane BBQ, I have a natural gas line installed and would like to use this for my BBQ.

    Go to Barbecues Galore.

However if you have a cheap BBQ it may not be worth the conversion because the kits for some BBQs start in the $100-150+ range.

Exactly. I ran a gas line to the deck when I built my house, but I'd just bought a propane bbq a couple years earlier so I wanted to keep it for a bit. I don't think the cost of the kit is worth it - might as well use it as a good excuse to buy a new & better bbq.

However, whenever I run out of propane, it seems that I always just buy "one more tank" to tide me over until I buy a new bbq. I've been in the house almost 5 years and still have my propane bbq.

Anyway to go from natural gas to propane? We moved into a condo and there is no natural gas line up to our deck. Now we have a $3000 Hibachi Grill stand.

Trade ya straight up for a 7 year old Home Depot Special

    Festiva Maximus 400 propane Version.

according to BBQ galore there is no conversionkit available for my unit.

Unless there is a generic one.....

I would assume the flame would be very small and weak. Any gas burner I have ever converted, the propane orifices were much smaller than the nat gas. You may need to install a larger regulator too.

why would the flame be smaller and weak? if the hole for nat gas is larger wouldnt more propane flow through the hole?

You end up getting a "lazy flame" due to an incorrect air/fuel mix which isn't as hot.

It doesn't work right. You need to have the proper jets for the proper gas that you plan use.
