Does anyone know where I could purchase black glass 1" x 2" glass tiles locally? Looking to redo my kitchen backsplash, tried looking at home depot and Rona already with no luck. Something similar to the following

Actually first off, I wanna replace my countertops with granite next year. Does anyone know if I install glass tiles now with regular vinyl coatep countertop and switch to granite next year, if there will be a gap between the tile and the new countertop? Should I just wait to put in the tiles until I get the new countertops or will it be safe to put the tiles in now and switch counters later on?

While you could replace the counter top after you tile, it'll be a LOT easier if you just wait.

It'll look better if you wait and do it all at once. The thickness of your vinyl counter top will likely not be the same thickness as your granite. You may need to rip off a whole row of the tile in order to make it fit. More likely scenario is that it won't work out nicely and you'll have to split the tile in half for the entire row - which becomes very visible and looks like ass.
okay ya guess I'll keep saving up till I can afford the granite, but when the time does come does anyone know where I can get those tiles for a reasonable price?
If you're lucky, you may be able to get them at Rona or Home Depot - but I would try Maguire's on Crowchild Tr. by Carrington Lighting. I know a lot of the home builders buy their stuff from them - so you know they'll have it in stock or something comparable.
Go to Julian.
you may also want to look at getting a sheet of glass cut to size and then back paint it in a color you want and then mount it to the wall.
