Default Donations: I need charities to give my stuff away too!

We're in the process of moving and we're extremely fortunate to be able to have a lot of stuff - sadly lots of it is no longer needed an I want to give it away:
    - stuffed toys (bears, horses, you name it)
    - small furniture such as tables, night stands, chairs, etc
    - cat beds (2)

I don't want to throw it away if someone else can use it. All of the stuff I want to donate is gently used and still in good shape.

Anyone know of 1 or more charities I can donate it to? My preference would be to charities I can drop off rather than arrange a pick up.

Goodwill will also be able to take it. I think there's a location in the NE but there might be one in the south.

is there any charity that can come pick up stuff? i have this fully loaded computer table, the only problem is it's made of really dense wood so it weighs quite a bit and i only have a car. I'm really hesitant to break it down for the scrap yard since I'm sure someone can use it. I also have about 15 chairs to give away and a couple drawers and tv stands.

Women in need will pick up, they might take 2-3 weeks though. Check out their website.

If you are desperate to get rid of it right away, you can freecycle it as well. it's not a charity, but a lot of those people are pretty hurtin, so it helps the community.

go to http://ca.groups.yahoo.com/group/freecyclecalgary/ and post it there. Just be sure to mention that it's heavy and you don't deliver. I had someone ask me to send a washer and dryer to chestermere once. No thanks.

Edit: Women in need is my favourite, and they are really appreciative.

You realize you are talking to the guy who made his own furniture out of salad bowls right?
