Default 90' Civic CX hatch project

this is my first project car

I recently purchased an EF hatch for 400$, 23XXXX KMS, and runs pretty well. The motor blows blues smoke and needs a replacement, so im planning to put in a ZC motor for it. I will do some body work and repaint it by this weekend.

So... My plans for this thing is
fix up some of the rust and do some body work" dent's dings, etc."
Swap either a ZC or B16a in it or even a D15b2
    Slam it
    Paint it flat black
Fix up the interior a bit "Strip, seats, steering wheel"
thats it for now, will update later...

well... enough talking lets see some pics.

EDIT: I cleaned her up a bit and stripped out the rear

Then when i was about to go wash my car, the car died on me. Engine cranks but wont start... shit. time for the new motor. Rolled it back home which was pretty much down the hill. Worked on some priming so check for dents, etc.

UPDATE: found out that my motor didn't die, but the timing belt completely snapped off. I'm either considering the engine swap or replace the belt but I'm still unsure if my valves on this engine are bent from the belt snapping. shit... W/E i guess ill focus on the body work this weekend and get it painted...

i'd look at doing the swap instead of the tming belt since you don't know if th engine is still good and it's really not worth saving.

yeah good idea, i'll probably be looking at a JDM ZC or maybe a cheap d15b to get it running for now. Still unsure yet, most likely it'll be the ZC motor.

Anyways.. Picked up some goodies from a friend

    Megan Springs with Koni Yellows,

    DA Sway bars

How it sits for now, still saving up money for bigger parts

thanks, yeah it's been fun but most of the time its just ghetto-ness lol

I painted the wheels flat black to match the car colour, and did a ghetto 8$ front lip on the car made of garden lining hahaha.

The engine should come in by next week and FINALLY i can get this thing to run

Pics of the new painted wheels and front lip ^^

i used cheap 3$ paint cans from shitty tire, i think it works well.

Yes the swap I'll try to do on my own, it'll be my first time. I'll most likely get a friend to help me out too

nice work man! I like the work your doing. I am doing basically the same thing with my 1978 Olds Omega project (well sans the the engine) except my body work isnt coming out as straight I say build em yourself and learn wish more people did that rather than always paying somebody to do everything. (more $ to go fast!)
A Ferrari is a high maintenance chick, you spend money regardless of what you do with her. You can baby the C63, or slap on all seasons, and you won't be spending anything but yearly maintenance. Of course that's like dating a stripper and refusing to fuck her, which would make you gay.

Nice progress man. Hopefully that D15 treats you as well as it treated me.

If you need a hand with anything, just let me know.
