Is it true that if you do not take the road test within 12 months of receiving the test permit another written test is required? Also, is it true that if you do not pass the road test the first time you have to write the test again?

IIRC they were only valid for 6 months.

12 months
My mistake, I thought when I took my motorcycle course 6 years ago the piece of paper was only valid 6 months.
Has been a while and I would tend to trust people who have it now, or what it says on the paper.

yes but i was wondering if you fail the test do you have to write the test again or buy another permit?
What he said ^
Call a registry to make sure. Rules are always changing these days it seems.
The permit is only valid for 12 months. If you go over the 12 month mark you are required to re-test. The computer wont recognize that permit after that time period.
