    Default Firepit Ideas

I am looking at constructing a firepit in my back yard pretty soon and wanted to pick some beyonders brains with what they have done or think would be cool.
open to all suggestions (pictures would be great!)
im leaning towards doing a sunken brick pit so that mowing etc will be easier than going around a raised pit, bus like i said im open to all ideas!

    thanks in advance

I know this isn't what you asked for, but if you know what you're allowed, it can save you a lot of headaches down the road. http://content.calgary.ca/CCA/City+H.../Fire+Pits.htm

i built a washing machine barrel fire pit.. its pretty cool.. also i can move it around the yard if i want to.. they burn wood awsome and the one i got has a metal pipe in the middle that works perfect for having a teepee style fire..

also its real cheap to build one

My neighbour had a bunch of extra landscape bricks she didn't want. So I threw this together. I understand it is on a concrete pad, and it is not moveable, but being within inches of legal limits, it is the only place that worked.

It panned out well. The bottom is vented and all.

    Just an idea for ya.

i cant really find to many good pics online but it looks like this one but only has one pole that slides in and out of a base stand.. also another good thing about these is that the fire is higher in the air and also all the little holes in the side throw off alot of good heat..
