    Default Strong weed/grass killing chemicals?

Went to home depot to look for some weed killing products but they only had "eco-friendly" stuff in small bottles which don't work. I'm looking to kill my entire yard with flame thrower results in chemical form. Anyone have any recommendations?

A RONA employee was telling me something about some new legislation that banned all the previous weed killers everyone was selling (the good shiz like Scott's and Killex) but will be getting new enviro-friendly product in the next few months. Of course by that time, old man winter will be around the corner and the frost will kill it all anyways.......

Scott's was exactly what I was looking for but at home depot all I found was that eco-stuff. The employee there said it didn't work at all. Canadian Tire has the product on their website so I'll try them tomorrow to see if they have anything.

Everything it comes into contact with dies.

it is just calgary that has this bylaw, travel outside the city limits to cochrane or airdrie and you should be able to pick up what you want there.

Yup, except last time I went looking in Airdrie they were completely sold out of every weed killing product. I guess they get a lot of Calgary business now.

That's a shitload of weed killer you're going to be spraying over and over and over again... depending on how big and what kind of weeds you have, you may simply end up with a yard full of dead weeds that still have to be removed. Have you considered taking a bobcat, using a flat bucket and scraping it?

and like ^^ is wondering, why are you going to do your entire yard in concrete? Have you looked into the bylaws regarding this?

You're probably better off paying a bobcat to remove all of the vegetation from your rear lot.

Killex & all that stuff is temporary... weeds do grow back eventually. You have to take a pretty heavy handed approach, like completely saturating the soil with heavy salts so that nothing grows in it again... lol.

You're better off getting it scraped off and hauled away.

Yup roundup is what you need. We use a lot of it for electric fences, to keep the grass from growing up and dragging the power down on it. Takes a few days to see results. It's also what we use on large scales to kill entire fields before ploughing.
