Comments wanted: Parting out my 92 Civic

Have a 92 civic I bought 3-4 years ago to use as a beater. Had 100k on it, now has 250k+. Bought in Ontario when I lived there & it's rusting pretty bad now on the hood & rear quarters.

New Alternator (60 Amp IIRC) Rad & Hoses last year, new Battery, Distrubutor & wires this year (crap tire). Interior is in decent shape at least.

Problem is that it hit a van 2 weeks ago & pushed in the bumper & out the fenders - ~2k in damages! I don't want the insurance claim on my record as that'd screw me royally. Car is paid for & doesn't owe me anything.

Think it'd be worth it to privately part it out?

not very many desirable parts on an 4 dr lx. call A1 honda parts and see what they would pay for it.

damn, just spent ~750 on the distributor/hoses/battery too...
the alt was ~400 & the rad ~400

if it's <500, I'm going bush-buggying.
