Default Brunch in Banff: Banff Springs or Rimrock?

I'm heading up there with the 'rents in a couple weeks, and I'm wondering which is the best place for brunch. I've been told Banff Springs or the Rimrock, so which one is better, or if you have an even better suggestion.

I prefer the springs, $40 gets you a great variety of good food as well as coffee and/or fresh squeezed OJ.

I second the Springs. Phenomenal brunch, and not just because of the legacy, if you will, of the hotel.

I haven't been to Banff Springs since I was like 8, but I do remember it being pretty good. But of course, I don't exactly trust my 8 year old self's judgement in food.

Rimrock is great no doubt I've been there for work functions, however if you're up for smaller places brunos on caribou is awesome for breakfast.

I am here to be of no help at all.

My wife and I have been to both, and we enjoyed both. I prefered the rimrock while the wife enjoyed the springs.

Both serve pretty much the same food, and really you can't go wrong with either choice.

so if quality of the food is pretty similar, who has the better view and nicer decor? I've never been to the Rimrock, but I know the Banff Springs is has a nice hotel, lots of history, and has a pretty nice view.

you should make reservations if you go to either. They sometimes have spots available for walk ins though.

If you're heading out from Calgary; you may also want to try the Kananaski Lodge Inn for their Sunday brunch. Good bang for the buck.

Chateau Lake Louise's Sunday Brunch was awesome too!

I'll be in K country in 9 hours for brunch, never been there before
    i'll let you guys know.

Banff springs was awesome for the food (selection).
    The service was pretty slow.

And not to mention my kid only had cereal..36.00 bucks for 3 bowls
    Should've bought propane instead.

    Banff Springs brunch is fantastic.

It's even better than the brunch at the Palliser in Calgary and I think it's less expensive.

If you've never been to the Rimrock, it would be worth the trip. Gorgeous hotel/view (you can look down on Banff Springs if I remember right). I've never had the brunch, but the lunch menu was awesome last time I was there.

I ended up going to Banff Springs and it was friggin delicious. If I get another chance I'll try the Rimrock next time.
